If you're new to CaseMgr®, and would like to "test drive" a trial version of the software, please visit the download page. Support Options

This page contains a number of methods for getting your questions answered:

  1. Email support — Please send us a detailed email query for a timely response from De Novo Systems technical support experts.

  2. Telephone support — Please contact our technical support staff via telephone — during normal business hours (9 to 4 Pacific Time, M-F) at (360) 695-9372.

  3. Tutorial Downloads and Sample Files — a full list of illustrated, step-by-step tutorials is available for download. Please check in periodically, as these files may be expanded or updated.

  4. Message Board (new!) — THIS is the first place to look for FAQs (Frequently-Asked Questions) and advice for getting the most out of CaseMgr®. You'll also find answers to questions that other users have posted.

  5. Web Links — De Novo Systems strives to maintain a list of links for legal professionals. Please drop us a note if there's a link you'd like to share!

The PDF files linked below explain the installation and use of De Novo CaseMgr® in some in detail. You can print them from your browser or save to disk. Most of these files are already in the "PDFDocs" folder inside your De Novo CaseMgr® Program Folder, but those marked "updated" are new or revised. They are still being expanded, and additional pdf's will be posted here as they become available. De Novo CaseMgr® now includes a new Help utility, which is also being expanded.

• CaseMgr® Installation (Adobe PDF)

How to orient yourself before getting started with CaseMgr®. Single-user and Network (multiple station) installation, Data Folder installation, installing the program, and initial login are all described in detail.


• TRIAL De Novo (TDN) to CaseMgr® (Adobe PDF)

Moving from Trial De Novo to De Novo CaseMgr® will require some adjustment in how things are done. This document is designed to orient you to the changes in the new program. Topics include Orientation, Configuring Lists, the Matter Window, Calendaring, and many others.


• CaseMgr® Admin Options (Adobe PDF)

Users responsible for administering CaseMgr® for their office will find this guide to the Administration Window helpful. Subjects include adding users, groups and passwords, locking data, and customizing fields.


• CaseMgr® Reports.pdf

Any of the data entered into De Novo CaseMgr® may be used to create reports. CaseMgr® includes a number of preconfigured reports which allow you to print out your data for different purposes.


• CaseMgr® Merges.pdf

One of the more powerful features of De Novo CaseMgr® allows the user to extract data from the program and then merge this information into an application like Microsoft Word® or WordPerfect® for use in correspondence and other record-keeping. Here's how you do it!


• CaseMgr® MrgFldList.pdf

A complete list of the 555 CaseMgr fields which may be merged or exported from CaseMgr.


• CaseMgr® Calendar (Adobe PDF)
Complete, step-by-step instructions on how to configure and use one of the most popular features in CaseMgr®. Topics include Month, Week and Day views, scheduling appointments and events, and adding tasks.


• CaseMgr® Special Fields (Adobe PDF)
In addition to the common text fields most frequently used to store informations, some windows in CaseMgr® have more specialized fields with capabilities that may not be so obvious. Topics include Note Fields, Date Fields, and calculations.

An overview describing working with CaseMgr® lists, including step-by-step examples and special fields. Also included is a list of keyboard shortcuts for quickly accessing the power of multiple lists.
